A tribute created for Mom by Vanessa
THIS
This was a woman,
Traveled hundreds of miles
Far from home
To make a new home
Who struggled,
But never let it show
And when fate
The cruel witch
Said "Here's round 2"
Mom just sighed,
And said "How'd you do"
Re Invented herself
Yet again struggling still.
Then along came another,
Whom fate had done wrong,
And they stood up
Together new and Strong
With two families now one
And new hobbies galore
She again finds a place
A purpose and more
Always helping others
Never enough to do
A huge heart that shines
Open, honest and true.
Then fate came again
Dealt one final blow
To take her down finally
Cruel and so slow.
But fate didn't win
For she struggles no more
Gone to meet friends and family
Who've gone on before.
There to play cards,
Horseshoes, golf and ski
No more bad back
And no more bum knee.
