Lois Ternes

Lois passed away peacefully on October 10, 2017 at 81 years of age with her family by her side. Lois will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years Louis, children Diane, Roger (Lynette), Dean, Karen (Bobby), grandchildren Damien, Braeden, Matthew, Zachary, Danae and Brendan. Lois was born in Cedoux, Saskatchewan and was raised on the family farm.  As a young adult she worked for the Department of Highways and the Psychiatric Hospital in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. Lois met and married her husband Louis Ternes and became a full-time wife, mother, homemaker, and a part time Book Keeper for the family business. Lois was a competitive Curler and enjoyed an active lifestyle. She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures; conversation with friends and family over a hot cup of coffee was her favorite. Lois loved gardening and if you ever had the opportunity to visit Lois’s garden you would have been impressed by her “green thumb”. We all enjoyed mom’s gardens. Lois had a kind soul toward people and animals, she especially loved dogs, and they brought her much joy. She taught her family the importance of compassion and kindness to all. Lois wore many hats, wife, mother, grandmother, and loyal friend. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. Rest in Peace Mom, Grandma, Lois XOXO.
