Victoria Shufletoski Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear sweet mother Victoria Shufletoski, beloved wife of the late Lewis Shufletoski on March 1st, 2019, at the age of 91.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Frank (Linda) Shufletoski, Henry Shufletoski, Ken (Rose) Shufletoski, Terry Shufletoski, Chris (Rex) Furgeson, and Cathy (Trent) Walker along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Victoria was predeceased by her husband Lewis in 1995 and two children, Richard in infancy and Alma, her parents, Thomas and Laura Angelucci, and 4 siblings, Joe Angelucci, Salina Boyer, Dutchie Miller and Nick Angelucci and their spouses.

Mom was born, to Thomas and Laura Angelucci, in Rocky Mountain House Alberta, on December 11, 1927 and was raised on a farm near Rocky Mountain House. After her schooling, mom started out cooking at the logging camps in Smithers BC and it was there that she met her husband Lewis. In 1954, they moved to the Ravenscrag district to start the family farm and raise their children. Mom loved the farm. She loved raising her chickens and turkeys, and growing her endless garden, but most of all she loved providing for her family. In true Italian fashion, mom ensured everyone who crossed their threshold had plenty to eat.

In 1990, they retired to Eastend Sask. where mom enjoyed making new friends spending time with Cuddles the cat, traveling to Spain, taking trips with her family, spoiling the grandchildren and lending a helping hand wherever she could.  I don’t know what mom enjoyed more, bingo or Chinese food!

In 2010, mom moved to the Maple Creek South West Integrated Health Care Facility where she thrived due to the excellent care provided by the staff and her caregivers whom she loved dearly. We shared many outings with mom and celebrated many special occasions. Mom lived a full life, mom loved life, and mom loved her family more than anything in the world and through all of mom’s health difficulties, in her last few hours on this earth, we heard mom whisper “I love you all” Her sense of humour, and her loving, kind sweet gentle presence will be forever missed.
