Lesley Bonogofski

Lesley John Bonogofski passed away June 29, 2020, with his family by his side.  He was born November 20, 1958, the second child of Zack and Ann Bonogofski.

Lesley is survived by his mother, Ann; sister, Colleen (Colin) Schmaltz, and their sons, Cory (Carlene) and Clayton (Pamela); brother, Kelly (Laura) and their sons, Cary (J’Dee) and Cody (Jessica).  He also leaves to mourn 8 great nieces and nephews.  Lesley was predeceased by his father, Zack.

Lesley was our little Down Syndrome man; always very loving and caring.  He had a smile that lit up his face, eyes that sparkled and a laugh that was contagious.  He made friends with whomever he met. 

Lesley spent most of his life in Fox Valley, but in June 2008, he moved to Maple Creek.  Here he joined a great group of people at Horizon House Group Home.  How he loved it there!  He was so proud of the jobs he learned and did at the Maple Creek and District Opportunities Inc.  Music was another great joy in his life!

By September 2017, Lesley’s health started to fail, so he moved into extended care in Maple Creek.  He now had another extended family in the Prairie Meadows House.

The family would like to thank everyone for their support, prayers and loving care Lesley received.

There will be a private family service at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Binkley’s Funeral Home, Maple Creek, SK.
