Chianne Bauer Obituary

Chianne was born in Medicine Hat and raised in Maple Creek SK, a community she’s been a big part of throughout her life.  She grew up involved in many different activities including bowling, band, scouts, badminton, and cadets, to name a few.  Growing up as a child, Chianne did exceed at many things.

Chianne’s childhood days were full of fun as she always had a lot of friends.  Making friends and building strong relationships were things that came very naturally to her.  The family enjoyed many trips and vacations to B.C. to visit family and to Aunty Jackie’s home in Peebles, SK. From a very young age Chianne always had her integrity and persistence, and maybe a bit of stubbornness too.  These are some of the many traits that would make her into the person that she was. At the age of 13, Chianne entered the work force, during this time she had worked multiple jobs.

The Summer of 95 Chianne met the love of her life Ron, and their lives together would change forever. Chianne gave birth to their first child Claydon on January 1, 1997. She moved back to the farm at Maple Creek in the fall of 1998. On May 21, 1999, their oldest daughter Shae-Lynn was born. A short year later, they were blessed with their second daughter, Rachelle, born July 19, 2000. Between different job changes and helping out on the farm. In April 2003 chianne was given an opportunity to start her career at the local grain elevator which at the time was Sask. Wheat Pool. She absolutely loved the people that she was working with, and all the farmers and ranchers she had met.  She enjoyed the sarcasm/joking and uplifting environment.  Chianne’s determination and hard work ethic would help her excel in her career even through Sask Wheat Pool being bought out by Viterra.  Her hard work, ambition, dedication, and personality would advance her into a grain buyers’ position.  From this point on, her career began to take off, demonstrating her greatest attributes to the company- putting the customers first and dealing with them in a personal and friendly manner.

With their family and friends in attendance, Chianne married her love Ron on July 25, 2009, at the scenic view of Lookout Point in Cypress Hills.  This is truly one of the most memorable moments of their lives.

In 2013 Richardson’s Pioneer bought out Viterra and Chianne’s career would change, yet again.  Her knowledge, reputation, and persistence of putting the needs of others first while treating them in a friendly manner was soon acknowledged and she was asked to step up into a manager’s position.

In the fall of 2018, Chianne was faced with yet another life altering challenge.  She was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She was willing to do everything it took to beat this, and she started the fight.  Chianne underwent treatments for almost a year. Her positivity and encouragement to herself, family, and others was truly amazing. The strength that she had through everything was like something you had never seen before.  Chianne’s spirit through everything was never tarnished and she showed everyone her true inner beauty with an unwillingness to give up.  She fought with determination, strength, and love for us all.

The amount of love and dedication to her family and friends that Chianne demonstrated are what we should all strive for.  She was a strong independent daughter, role model to her siblings, a dedicated mother and hero to her children, and a loving and truly committed wife to her husband.

Chianne just was so special, she was all things put together. Even in her battle with cancer she was so strong and protecting over everyone. She held onto that positively and made others comfortable about it all. She met and encouraged so many people on her journey and many supported her.

A note from her radiation oncology doctor Kate Johnson had very kind words to say about Chianne.

“Her eternal light will live on with us forever. She was has inspired me in ways that I don’t know possible, special and powerful beyond words. She helped so many people, and will continue to… I am truly a better person for meeting her. The love you shared for her, and she showed you, is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever witnessed.”

-Kate Johnson

Chianne’s memory will live on forever with the all the connections that she made with everyone she ever interacted with. Her spirt will live on through her three children Claydon, Shae-Lynn, and Rachelle and her first love Ron. Claydon, will carry his mom’s wittiness and intelligence, Shae-Lynn, will have her mom’s heart and compassion, and Rachelle, will keep her mother’s sassy attitude alive.

Chianne would say to her kids and her husband, this is my path in life. I think I lived it well. I worked hard and loved you all deeply and cherished all the moments that I could. Now it’s your time, it’s your future. Do your schooling, love your family and friends. Stay close to each other. Be kind, compassionate and work hard. Your future is important to me.

Chianne’s family would like to say THANK YOU in appreciation for all the support, prayers, and warm thoughts.
