Survived by son Clifford Oakes and daughter in law Lousie Starr, daughter Sheryle Stanley, 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, sisters Cindy Montour, Mavis Oxehibin, adopted sister Lorraine Bugler, numerous sister in laws and brother in laws, nephews and nieces from maternal and paternal families.

Predeceased by his parents, Pat Montour and Clara Flora Pelletier and brothers Joe and Robert Montour, sisters Doris and Martha, partner Madeline Oakes, son Kevin Oakes
