Samuel ‘Lorne’ Warnock, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, on Wednesday, May 1st, 2019 at the age of 79 years. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Shirley Warnock, children Scott (Melina) Warnock, Holly (Charles) Moir; grandchildren, Haley-Rae (Zac), Garett, Owen (Erin). He is survived by his sister Lois (Ernie) Hope, sisters-in-law, Gloria Hassett and Valerie Halladay as well as many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his son Steven Warnock as well as one brother and two sisters. Lorne was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan on October 30, 1939. Lorne met Shirley and they were married May 19, 1961. Lorne worked for the Ford garage where he was a journeyman mechanic for many years. Later on he took on the position of Service Manager. All together he spent 41 years working there. In 2008 he and Shirley moved to Medicine Hat. Lorne loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed woodworking, playing cards, watching Nascar races and cheering for the Blue Jays. Memorial gifts in Lorne’s memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
