RITCO, William “Willie” died peacefully at the Southwest Integrated Health Facility, Maple Creek on July 17, 2019 at the age of 89.

Willie is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Gladys, his sons Barry & Pauline, his daughter Brenda & York Shaw, his son Brian & Donna, and son Bob & Michelle as well as adult grandchildren:

Ryan and 1 great grandchild, Justin (Kendra) and 3 great grandchildren, Amber (Trevor) and 2 great grandchildren, Nicole, Trevor and 1 great grandchild, Shawn and 1 great grandchild, step grandchildren: Jaime (Dave) and 1 great grandchild, Jerri and Tim and 5 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, Victoria and Brooklyn. He is also survived by his sister Myrtle and brother-in-law Floyd Davison from Regina and many nieces and nephews. Willie is preceded in death by his father Eftim, mother Iona, sibling’s sister Nettie, brother Phillip, his father-in-law Harold Drader and mother-in-law Mary Drader, and brother-in-law Gerald Drader.

Willie was born on April 5, 1930 on the farm at Kayville, SK. Growing up on the farm during the ‘30’s and early ‘40’s gave many young men a chance to dream bigger and better things, so a group set off to the East to work in the ships. The tug of the prairies brought him home and it was after his return he met a young woman named Gladys Drader. After a short romance they were married in 1954 and began to raise their family in Regina, SK. Willie worked as a professional driver for many years driving heavy trucks. He retired from trucking at the age of 50 but began driving school bus. Later he slowed his working time down a bit more and would jockey cars and school buses for Budget from one location to another until his heath started to impeded long trips.
