Alice Emma Schaffer (nee: Pfeifer) was born to Otto and Hilda Pfeifer on February 28, 1927 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Alice was raised in the Walsh area and attended Many Island School. In Maple Creek, Clarence and Alice built a life together where they continued to raise their daughters as well as welcomed their grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Alice and Clarence spent their time together travelling, tending to the garden, playing Bingo, and playing cards with family and friends up until his passing in February 1998.
