Andrew Bernard Hepfner of Maple Creek, SK passed away peacefully with his family by his side to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on January 10, 2022 at the age of 88 years. He was born at Fox valley, SK October 27 1933.
Andrew was predeceased by his parents Katherine and Michael Hepfner and sister Delores (Miller, Erler) and brother-in-law Peter Miller. Nephews David and Darvin Leismeister and Craig Hepfner.
He is survived by his wife Tannis of 31 years, brothers Frank (Anne) Hepfner, Charles (Manzar) Hepfner, sisters Kay (George) Leismeister, Rosemarie Hepfner, step-son Carey (Debbie) Fitterer, step-daughter Cammie (Ross) Anderson, 8 step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Andrew attended Rose Flat School at Fox Valley and St. Thomas College at Battleford, SK. He worked on oil rigs for a time and then mixed farming as a career.
He was very musical and loved the horses and had many friends. Andrew married Tannis (Johnson) Fitterer on October 27, 1990.
He lived on the 3 generational homestead all his life retiring to Maple Creek, SK in 2009. His retirement hobbies were refurbishing horse harnesses and wagon wheels and making horse collar mirrors.
Andrew was an active member of the Full Gospel Men’s Fellowship (Medicine Hat chapter) for many years. He was also a board member of the Eagle Nest Ranch for 5 years. Church was his passion.
He will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew him.
