It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Barry Bauer, on November 21, 2024, at the age of 67.
Barry was born March 25, 1957, in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, where he spent his entire life. He is remembered for his unwavering love for family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength. His passion for the Roughriders was legendary; countless days were spent at the Jasper, enjoying time with friends, sharing a beer, and watching the game. A man of great integrity and humor, Barry had a unique ability to make everyone smile and laugh whenever he was in the room. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
His passing was sudden and unexpected, but it was quick and peaceful, occurring in the comfort of his home during his sleep. Barry was predeceased by his parents, Ester and Alfred Bauer. He is survived by his two children, Aden Bauer (Alex) and Josh Bauer, as well as his grandchildren, Desirae, Brandon, Reagen, Luka, and Kashtyn. He is also survived by his brother, Bob Bauer (Deb and their three daughters), and countless friends.
We invite you to honor and celebrate Barry's life on December 20, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Jasper. Your presence will mean a lot as we come together to remember him. Please feel free to share any photos and memories you have of Dad, as we cherish the moments we shared.
