Blaine Clement passed away on October 26, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 27, 1965 and lived his life in Val Marie, Saskatchewan. Blaine was married to the love of his life, Angela, on July 19, 1986. They have two children Curtise and Whitney who were the light of Blaine’s life. Blaine grew up farming and ranching north of Val Marie at Clement Ranch. Blaine sold the ranch in the spring of 2019 and retired to spend more time doing things that he enjoyed such as camping, travelling, following his favourite sports teams, and spending time with family and friends.
Blaine was a cherished husband, father, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend. Blaine was predeceased by his parents Clayton and Myrtle Clement and Brother Doug. Blaine will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife of 35 years, Angela; children Curtise (Jennifer) Clement, and Whitney (Sheldon) Booth; Father and Mother-in-Law Allan and Elaine Winquist; Siblings Betty (Mike) Waldner, Linda (Keith) Wilson, and Homer; Siblings-in-Law Jane (Tim) McCrea, and Calvin (Tammy) Winquist; Nieces Vicki (Dale) Belisle, Lexie (Coady) Dehr, Heidi (Curtis) Goffinet, and Heather (Kelly) Thingvold; and Nephews Rick (Deanna) Waldner, Dexter (Cheri) Wilson, and Stacey (Robyn) McCrea, and their families, as well as many great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Blaine was devoted to his children and his wife. He rarely ever missed an opportunity to attend their events, whether it was travelling many a mile to watch Curtise or Whitney play hockey, or to support Angela at any of her events at the school, he was committed to them and truly enjoyed and encouraged them.
Blaine will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He possessed a wonderful sense of humour. He loved to kid around and because of this we could always count on Blaine to make us all smile. He adored his family and enjoyed celebrating and hosting all family occasions and celebrations. Blaine made many good friends over the years ranching in Val Marie and many additional friends throughout the southwest through his passion for hockey, curling and other sports. He loved to socialize with his friends and family over the years by attending brandings, sports days, movie nights at the hall and any other community events. He will be dearly missed.
A celebration of Blaine’s life will be held in the Val Marie Community Hall on Monday, November 1st at 2 pm. Masks will be mandatory for attendance.
