Celia Foraie was born on June 4th, 1932 in Crooked River Saskatchewan to her parents Omer and Ida Cartier. She passed away peacefully on May 2nd, 2026 with her sons by her side.
Celia enjoyed the little things in life, walking around the Cypress Hills Park alongside her husband George Foraie who would sidetrack to find the nearest strawberry patch!
She enjoyed her church, she was a regular attendee, her involvement with the CWL included singing in the choir and assisting with lunches.
In Celia’s earlier years, she was deeply involved in her garden and enjoyed going to community dances.
She is survived by her son Merle (Brenda), grandson Mason, Dylan (Alex), and great grandson Porter. Celia is also survived by her son Craig (Naomi), grandson Carlin, and great granddaughter Payton.
Celia is predeceased by her husband George, and grandson Cody (father of great granddaughter Payton).
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
The family would like to thank the Swift Current Hospital (Dr. Lund and their Nurses), and a special thanks to the Southwest Integrated Healthcare Facility in Maple Creek (Dr. Tijani, and critical care Nurses) for taking care of Celia during her final days.
In addition, the family would also like to acknowledge the Consul Palliative Care Quilters.
