Debra Pauline Arnold, Born April 23 1962 in Herbert Saskatchewan. On February 24 2026, surrounded by family, she passed away at Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband Walter Arnold of 47years, Daughter Lilia Will, grandaughters Makaela, Avery and Boston, her son James(Tara, Odin) Arnold. Her brothers and sister Howard(Bonnie) Nickel, Ken(Shari) Nickel, Lester Nickel, Colleen(Randy) Arnold, Darwin (Laurrain) Nickel, Ivan(Debbie) Nickel and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by Parents Henry and Annie Nickel and Sister Daphne Nickel. Debra had many adventures growing up in Piapot Saskatchewan. In 1977 she met the love of her life Walter and married January 27 1979. Debra and Walter would live and Raise their children in Maple Creek Saskatchewan. For 26 years she worked as a custodian at Sidney Street School, she enjoyed chatting with students and teachers. She was an active member of the community, 30years of being a Royal Purple Lady and 25years of being a Legion member. Debra was a strong willed and spirited woman that enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Whether it was camping, playing cards, visiting, Piapot ladies night out, playing Bingo, or gardening. Every Holiday was decorated for and there was always a story for her to tell.
Every one is welcome to her Funeral March 5th 2026 at the United Church at 2pm with Coffee and lunch to fallow at the Legion Hall. In Lieu of flowers, for those who wish to remember Debra with a Donation may do so to the Royal Purple, Legion or Cancer Society.
