PERRIN, Donald Jesse (Don)

August 9th,1935 – June 5th, 2025

Don Perrin of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 5th, 2025, at the Cypress Lodge at the age of 89.

Don was born August 9th, 1935, in Maple Creek and spent almost his entire life in Maple Creek near his beloved Cypress Hills. 

He is survived by his wife Doris Perrin (Parr), sons Kelly (Kathy) Perrin and Greg (Joanne) Perrin, grandchildren Lorelle, Sarah, Evan and Ethan Perrin and sister, Lois Bayton.

Don was pre-deceased by his parents Leonard and Mary Perrin (Galbraith), sisters Joan Duggan and Shirley (Bunny) Furgeson, brothers Hugh and Lynn Perrin and grandson Michael Perrin.

Don was a well-known businessman in the Maple Creek area, initially as an accountant in public practice, that he expanded to include a real estate, insurance, investment and travel business.  Don was also a cattle rancher and a well-known figure in the beef industry through his many years of service as a manager/secretary of the Saskatchewan Stock Growers Association.

Don was an avid golfer and a curling, baseball, bronc and bull riding fan. He was involved in several local service clubs and organizations in Maple Creek over the years. He was also a musician, singer and wood working hobbyist.

We miss you Pop, and you will be in our hearts forever.

A Celebration of Don’s life will be held August 9th at 2:00 p.m. at the Legion Hall in Maple Creek. Friends are invited to join us for this Celebration and tea following the service.

The family will hold a private interment at the Maple Creek Cemetery.
