Eleanor Phyllis (Cook) McLeod passed away peacefully at the Leader Hospital July 17. She leaves her four children, Cameron, Fraser, Grant (Louise) McLeod and Norma Grace Scott, 3 granddaughters, 6 great grand children and 2 great great grandchildren.
Eleanor lived much of her life with Bill on the farm East of Cabri. Through the years they were active in Square & Round dancing, Simmental cattle & cowboy poetry. Miss Ellie loved doing all kinds of handicrafts, especially crocheting Afghans (Af-i-gans). If you knew her you likely have one. Another great passion were her flowers. It seemed she could get anything to bloom. Eleanor was probably best known for her wicked sense of humor.
We would like to thank the staff at the Cabri Care Center who helped her stay in her house as long as possible, then all the staff who made her last 6 months of life a joyful time. To everyone who visited in person or by phone, know how much she treasured you. She lived a good long life and left this earth with wonderful memories of her time here.
As per Eleanor’s wishes, there will be no public ceremony. If you can think of her with a smile, she will be pleased.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Eleanor’s name to the Cabri Community Hall
