It is with great sadness we announce the passing of George Edward Howell, sunrise August 26, 1934 in Shaunavon Saskatchewan, sunset June 22, 2020 in Maple Creek Saskatchewan in the loving arms of his family. George will be remembered by his wife Agnes, sons Tracy (Susan), Jody (Tanya), Ryan (Jill) and grandchildren Braden, Nicholas, Kelsey, Macey, Madison, Teagan, and Hudson. George also leaves behind his brother Richard and many nieces and nephews. He has been reunited with his parents Walter and Annie, as well as brothers Kenneth and Vern. George worked for 38 years at the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and also spent countless hours doing carpentry for many neighbours and friends. He has spent the last 25 years of retirement enjoying the family farm where he grew up and watching his crops grow throughout the season. George’s family meant more to him than anything and he especially loved the time he got to spend with his grandchildren. Another big part of George’s life was his friends. He enjoyed nothing more than sitting having a cup of coffee and visiting. George is now free to wonder his fields wearing his usual uniform of jeans, a plaid shirt, his favourite hat, and happily smoking a cigarette, enjoying his daily cruise around the farm on his Gator. We will always carry his memory in our hearts
