Harold Moorhead January 21, 1944 - August 5, 2024

Harold “Howdy” Moorhead, born January 21, 1944, to Myrtle and Albert Moorhead in Maple Creek, passed away on August 5, 2024, surrounded by family in his beloved hometown.

Harold will be deeply missed by his wife, Brenda; daughters Kris Moorhead and Jody (Jared) Moch Metz; and cherished grandchildren Shelby, Austin, and Tyra Moch; siblings Alan (Melody) Moorhead, Helen Moorhead, Leslie (Candy) Moorhead, Gary Moorhead, and Faye (Ron) Gordon; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Myrtle Moorhead, in laws Pete and Flora Retterath and his son-in-law, Darvin Moch.

In his younger years, Harold dedicated his time to the family farm, enjoyed fighting bulls at rodeos, and graded roads for the RM of Maple Creek. Known for his love of cows and his joyful spirit, he brought laughter and a smile to all who knew him.

In his later years, Harold enjoyed spending time at the lake and in the mountains, creating lasting memories with family and friends. The smirk on his face when telling jokes will be something not soon forgotten by those who loved him. His kindness, sense of humor, easy going personality and love for life will be remembered by many.

There will be no celebration of life, instead the family encourages you to reach out to share pictures or memories with them and remember Harold as the happy go lucky man he was.
