Helen Mary (Ziegler) Schmidt

Helen Schmidt passed away unexpectedly June 18, 2022 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.

She’s is preceded by her beloved late husband Alfred, parents Danny and Mary Ziegler, sister and brother-in-law Clara (Ziegler) and Bobby Eccles.

She is survived by her son Lawrence Schmidt, daughter Cathy (Roy) Goodings, granddaughters Sheila (Rick), Lynne (Trent), Cindy (Jason), Laura (Josh) and 11 great grandchildren, Katie, Dexter, Jordan, Lexie, Ramie, Sonni, Hunter, Alyssa, Kage, Dallas, Hugh, and 1 great great grand baby Ivy.

Helen lived the majority of her life on the farm just east of Consul. They sold the farm in 2019 and moved to Consul where Lawrence had purchased a house. While on the farm she was a busy farmers wife and mother, helping to take care of the animals, attending to her garden and watering her flowers that she always enjoyed. If she wasn’t outside then she’d be in the kitchen preparing meals. In her spare time, she kept up with her sewing, (she always had a quilt on the go) and her family history books. Helen spent many years involved with the Senior Citizens Club, she enjoyed playing cribbage, cards and potluck suppers there.

Helen's kindness and smile will be greatly missed by many.
