Joyce Phyllis Grabinsky was born in Leader on September 4, 1936 to her now late parents Esther Weis (daughter of Leader pioneers Conrad and Catherine Weis) and William Grabinsky (son of Prelate area pioneers Wilhelm and Katerina (Kreiter) Grabinsky. She spent her young years in Saskatchewan, then to Alberta and eventually on the coast of British Columbia. After a long career as a Social Worker Joyce moved back to Leader in her retirement years. She was known for her love of adventurous travel, her many quilt projects, restoring her beautiful historic home and her spectacular gardening.
Joyce had SEVEN CHILDREN: Angel, Michelle (Gregg), Bradley (Sharon), Carlton (Catherine), Jennifer (John), (Predeceased by both Kathleen & Ernie), Barry (Corinne).
There are FOURTEEN GRANDCHILDREN: Kyle (Leanne), Jessika (Paulo), Christopher, Andrew, Joel (Cathrine), Alyssa (Zach), Rebecca, (Predeceased by Holly), Karmin, Zachary (Sabrina), Robyn (Tim), Hannah, Quinn (Austin), Adair (Olivia).
AND ELEVEN precious GREAT GRANCHILDREN: Phoenix, Luka, Jakobi, Reid, Sophia, Ami, Gage, Oliver, Mcconaughey, William, Finn.
