We are sorry to announce the passing of Kelly Murray Galbraith on January 29th, 2025, who passed away in Maple Creek at the age of 64.
Kelly was born in Maple Creek, SK, and grew up on the family ranch near Eastend, SK. He enjoyed the ranch life and playing hockey while growing up. He was gifted with carpentry skills, and it came very easy to him. After leaving school that is the career he chose; he obtained his Journeyman certificate at a young age. He moved to Maple Creek and lived there the remainder of his time working as a carpenter.
He had two children whom he liked to take camping and fishing and show the country lifestyle. Kelly loved to read, play cards and games, dance, and laugh. He valued his closeness and time spent with his parents. He enjoyed children, particularly visits with his nieces and nephews at the family ranch, and in his final years, he especially loved hearing stories about his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his loving father and mother (George and Elsie Galbraith) and his nephew (Kyle Galbraith).
He is remembered by his children Lacey (Jim) and Mark (Christa) and their mother Odette, his brothers Wesley (Carol), John (Joann), and Tim (Laura), grandchildren Braylen, Easten, Charlotte, and Atticus, as well as several other family and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the Southwest Integrated Healthcare Facility, for the care they provided Kelly during his final years.
Please join us on April 12 at 2 pm at the Maple Creek Cemetery to remember Kelly.
