Kenneth Roy Matthews, Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. Born October 9, 1930 - passed away peacefully on August 29,2023.
Survived by loving wife Judy; son Gordon (Tammie); daughter Margaret (Susan) and grandson Grant. Also remembered by Sister-in-law Jill (Sam) and their 3 children; Jeremy, Ian and Ashley. Also survived by many cousins, nieces & nephews.
Ken was born into a farming family, in Campbellford, Ontario. He became one of the best mechanics around. Ken was always in demand, as people knew he could fix anything, he enjoyed helping others and, as he never threw anything away, he always had the needed part. He was especially proud of working on the last operational Lancaster Bomber. Ken’s love of the West led him to Calgary, where he met his wife, Judy. Ken had a tremendous love of music, history (including family history), travelling, the outdoors and especially camping.
Interment to take place at Maple Creek cemetery.
