Linda Irene (Murray) Meade

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Meade on January 1st in 2025 surrounded by her loved ones.  Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and beloved friend, Linda was from Maple Creek, Sask, formally of Campbell River BC, she will be dearly missed by all that knew her. 

Linda was born and raised in Ripples New Brunswick to proud parents Robert and Faye Murray. She was the 5th child in a big family of eight close siblings growing up in a small town in New Brunswick. She fondly remembered her childhood and loved swimming in lakes, family games, barn dances and her parents. It just happened to be at one of those local barn dances at Gene Simmons that she met the love of her life Ken Meade when she was 17 and on Ken's 21st birthday. Their love blossomed and seven years later they were married December 6th of 1975 the following year in 76 they moved to Campbell River and started their family first with their sons Hazen, then Darryl and finally completed their family with their daughter Amanda. 

As her family grew, she dedicated her life to her children. Linda was a full- time mom and took the jobs as nanny, babysat and helped raise many other “bonus “kid, as she called them. Linda was the best mom and was instantly a passionate and doting grandma who took the job of “nana” very seriously. She loved and cherished all of her grandkids. They were number one in her life and meant the whole world to her. She lived for them, Ken, her kids and all of her adopted kids and grandkids 

Linda is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Ken Meade, her daughter Amanda (Gabriel), her sons Hazen and Darryl (Cassandra). Her Grandchildren Chelesea (Tre), Andy (Shay), Aaliyah, Zoey and Zane, siblings Rick, Gene, Maragret, Nancy, Johnie, Virginia and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and all the “bonus” kids and grandkids. 

Linda was predeceased by her parents Robert and Faye Murray and her little Brother Micheal Murray. 

Linda went to heaven surrounded by her loving family.
