Lorianne Violet Davis, known as Lori or "the Queen" was born in Maple Creek, SK on August 10, 1971. She passed away peacefully surrounded by so much love on Dec 23rd, 2025, in Medicine Hat, AB at 54 years of age
Left to cherish her memory are her four Children: daughters Flaynne (Marty) & Falanne and her sons Diamon & Destin Delaynah). Her Grandchildren (The Famous Four) Journee, Daxton, Bentley & Riley. Her Partner Terry Getz. Her brothers Roy (Kellie); Rocky (Sauce/Kathy), Gerald (Miranda), Willie (Cherie), Joey (Dan) and Shane. Her sister Geraldine (Larry), countless nieces & nephews and even great nieces & nephews who each held a special place in her heart. Her Aunties Alice (Roger), and Faye & Shirley, cherished supporters Aaron Horton, Cousin Michelle Thrush, and dear friend Julia Mosquito; along with SO many more cousins and friends that were ALL very special to her.
Lori was predeceased by her mother (Madeline Anderson) and her father (Gerry Davis), her Grandparents Tom & Violet Anderson and John & Gladys Davis, her Uncles Willbert, Raymond, Clarence (Doman), Robert (Chipboy/Rubberjack) Brian & Lloyd, her Aunties Joyce, Pat, Barbara, Darlene, Angie & Linda (Babysim/Sim).
Lori leaves behind an incredible legacy of love and hard work. As a hairdresser of more than 3 decades, she developed lasting friendships with many clients. Always there to pretty up the masses and lend a trusted ear for those who needed it. She often cared tor extra people in her home, providing a safe place for kids and young adults to stay in tumultuous times. She was the First Nations Liaison at the Maple Creek Composite School and was part of ECIP. She organized several fundraisers to help people in need while they went battling their own sicknesses. She lent her assistance to the Nekaneet Youth programs and started doing the Sandhills feasts in 2017. She travelled to many markets with Aunt Shirley, where she sold her Bison products and loved supporting other Artisans everywhere she went (some would say she loved to shop)! She literally would give anything to help anyone in need and would sacrifice so much of her time to help others She was one of the most thoughtful and hard-working people you could ever know
Family was the most important thing to Lori making sure they were all together as often as possible. She loved her kids and was so proud of each of them (even for their smallest accomplishments). Her grandkids meant the world to her & she camped with them every summer to cheer them on for their swim lessons. She enjoyed her annual summer Birthday Bash where she loved making all of us play games and she would just laugh & laugh at all the craziness (and take a million pictures). She enjoyed canning & baking (often with her best helper Journee), and she always made sure to bring the pickles (even the special hot ones for Roy & Steele). Her freezers were always full, and her door was always open. Growing up with a houseful of brothers, she learned some very special skills in the art of "keeping everyone in line" and she managed to wrangle them together often and right to the end, they were her best friends, and they were lucky to enjoy many adventures with her throughout the years and especially this past year.
She loved fun and had the most incredible laugh and beautiful smile. She gave the best hugs and made every single person feel special. She was the strongest woman and fought the bravest battle. Lori radiated light and made the world a better place just by being her and we are all so lucky to have known her. She is loved by many and will be missed forever.
