After a brief, yet courageous, battle with cancer Lynette passed away on Sat June 4, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones on the family farm, as she wished.
Lynette was quiet yet fun, an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan, and devoted to family and the family farm. She put family above all else being a Backman first, a Blue Jays fan second and a health care professional a distant third. She worked as a pharmacist for 29 years in 3 rural communities in SK but always made sure she never got too far from the farm.
Lynette was much loved by her mom, Carol, four younger siblings, Beth, Crystal, Angela, and Tyler, sister-in-law, Lana, brothers-in- law Dan and Wael, nephews, Colton, Lewis and Elliott and nieces, Raelle, Paige and Noor. Lynette was able to visit with all this family as well as, her Aunt Elaine Earl and cousin Rodney Fairbrother before passing away.
Lynette was predeceased by her father, Clare Backman.
Family wishes to thank NP Taylorre Weiss and Dr M. Lund, Dr Val, Dr Rubens, nurse Lavonne Woods and the therapy services department of the Cypress Regional Hospital, Mary Howell and Lynette Brown for their excellent care and help while family cared for Lynette at home.
In lieu of flowers, cards or food donations can be made to the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current or the Consul Ambulance.
