Marvin Harold Meier

We are saddened to announce the passing of Marvin Harold Meier. 

He died peacefully in Leader, Saskatchewan with family by his side.

Marvin was the oldest born son of Harold and Irma Meier. From a very early age Marvin was mechanically talented, becoming a heavy-duty mechanic in his early 20’s. As well as mechanics all Marvin dreamed about was to have the great life of a farmer. Marvin farmed alongside his parents until their passing. 

During this time Marvin also took up custom combining and Spraying.  But his true passion was during his last 20 plus years, when he discovered Woodworking.  Marvin built many cabinets, did home renovations as well as projects for businesses in his community.   This was very fulfilling and he would spend many hours just tinkering in his shop.  He was always thinking of things to make or invent.

As well as his passions in things to do, Marvin was extremely passionate in his faith in God. This gave him great comfort during his health battle.

Marvin leaves to mourn his passing, daughter Stephanie (Alex), grandson William, his son Bradyn (Searra), grandson Mac. His ex- wife Lona, his brother Brian, sister-in-law Cathy, cousins Doug and Bonnie (who helped our family care for Marvin when we couldn’t).  He is also survived by his aunts Faye and Glady, Uncle Harvey, as well as many cousins.

The Family would like to thank all the staff and doctors that helped care for Marvin at the Leader Long Term Care facility.   You helped make his last days more comfortable and easier.

A service will be held to celebrate Marvin’s life on Monday September 29, 2025 at the Leader Lutheran Church 2-pm.  A private internment will follow at the Leader Cemetery.  Refreshments will follow.
