STEWART- Mary Louise Stewart, age 55, passed away on Tuesday Dec. 8 surrounded by her family in the long term care facility in Maple Creek after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
She was born on July 20, 1965 in Maple Creek and was raised on a ranch outside of town by her mother, Bernice Stewart, and father, John Stewart along with four brothers and sisters; John, Carol Anne, Kathy and David.
After graduating high school Mary went to Kelsey Tech in Saskatoon, now known as Saskatchewan Polytechnic, to eventually graduate as a lab tech.
Mary moved to Calgary in the 80s to work at the Foothills Hospital, where she met her ex-husband Brad Gustafson. Brad and Mary had two sons together Brett and Ian Gustafson. Mary was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis while living in Calgary.
To be closer to family, she moved back to Maple Creek in the 90s with her sons, where she lived the rest of her life.
Mary is survived by her son Brett (Jaime), and her son Ian. Her brother John Stewart, her sister Carol Anne and family, her sister Kathy Stewart and family, her brother David Stewart and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, Bernice and John Stewart, and other family members.
