Milta Tribble Obituary

On December 26, 2023 at the age of 89, our mother, Milta Tribble passed away peacefully with family at her side. She is survived by her daughters, Louise (Leonard) Forester and Sharon (Richard) Guenther; her grandchildren, Alicia (Mark) Arnold, Angie (Jeff) Dash and Charles (Nicole) Guenther and her great grandchildren Teegan, Ethan, Ayden, Brynn, Bentley, Mackenzic and Hallie, and her brother, Arnold Smith, as well as countless nieces and nephews. Milta is predeceased by her parents Charles and Marjorie Smith; her sisters Connie (Herbert) Duncan, Marion (Gordon) Brown and Bernice (Swanston Burt, Jim Lambert).

Milta touched many souls throughout her long career in nursing and her many hours of volunteering in the community of Maple Creek. She will be remembered for her contagious laugh, her sense of humour and her endless energy. As well as for her homemade raison bread and cinnamon buns that had flocks of her daughters’ friends mysteriously showing up at her home on baking days.

Milta loved to play games such as Canasta with her friends; Snooty, Yahtzee and Liverpool Rummy with family.  Often after an evening shift, she didn’t want to quit playing till she won which led to many late nights for her daughters. She also wasn’t averse to a little cheating and we can’t forget those water fights.

She lived a full life with many adventures including trips with her closest friends in her motorhome, annual trips to the figure skating finals in Vancouver, bus tours across the country, and various trips to Europe with her daughters as well as a cruise to Alaska.

She leaves her family with many happy memories and a lot of laughter.
