Wayne Carl Wilde
June 20, 1932 – Jan 28, 2024
91 Years
Born in Carseland, Alberta, the oldest son of Carl & Dagny Wilde, they moved around a lot for several years.
Wayne worked at Bowies Ranch when he came to Sask. He met Phyllis Berreth who was working at Bowies Store. They were married in 1957 and were blessed with four daughters, JoAnn, Darlene, Valerie, and Rhonda. Wayne and Phyllis raised the girls on a farm in the Piapot R.M.
Retiring off the farm, Wayne and Phyllis moved to Maple Creek in 1981 and lived in the same home until present.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 67 years, Phyllis, his daughters, JoAnn Davidson, Kellie, Kendal (Ken) Pettyjohn, Sharmon (Ray) Davidson, Darlene (Jim) Yaroslawsky, Cassidy & Colt, Rhonda (Dwane) Jones, Tye & Randi
Great grandchildren Tanner Davidson, Natasha, Christena and Emily Pettyjohn.
Also Survived by his brother Jack (Della) Wilde, and several nephews.
Wayne was predeceased by his parents Carl & Dagny Wilde, daughter Valerie Wilde, 3 brothers; Willard, Howard and Jim. Son in Law Doug Davidson, niece Debbie Newton (nee Wilde).
As per Wayne’s request there will be no service. We will have a gathering at a later date to celebrate his life.
